Nightly reading needs to be recorded in your child's agenda Monday through Thursday night with an adult's signature, as well as, on a Macaw All-Star Reader with an adult’s initials and date. My students are expected to read 30 minutes a night. The 30 minutes counts for both the agenda signature and the Macaw All-Star Reader signature.

Math homework will be given "daily" as it goes along with our current math program, Stepping Stones. Also, I will provide students multiplication times tables to study, as there will be a test given multiple times during the week.

Beginning in September, there will be a comprehension sheet given on Wednesday which needs to be turned in the following day.  My expectations are that the students will restate answers in complete sentences.

Beginning in January, there will be a 3-5 paragraph paper assignment which will handwritten and later be typed, this will be given on Wednesday instead of the comprehension sheet. It will be turned in on Thursday. You may email it to me when it is completed. My expectations are that it follows the following structure: Introduction paragraph, detail 1 paragraph, detail 2 paragraph, detail 3 paragraph, and a conclusion paragraph. Each paragraph must have 5 sentences in it, totaling a 5 paragraph paper about provided topics or chosen topics.
