Students will be able to go out for recess.  As a school we will encourage and monitor the students not to look at the sun.  A few teachers have purchased solar eclipse sunglasses, they will contact you if they are participating in a viewing.  Please notify your child's teacher if you have any concerns or do not want your child to go outside during recess.

The annual January boxtops classroom contest starts right after winter break!

Check with family, friends and neighbors, ask for, and let them know you collect boxtops. They are also easily mailed in a regular stamped envelope from those farther away.

Remember that EVERY boxtop counts, so if you have one or one hundred, send them into your class. At 10 cents each, they add up yearly for our school on average $1500-$2000.

Almost unbelievable!!! This is why it's so important to stress that EVERY boxtop counts!

Go to boxtops4education.com for more info.

You can sign up to support Petroglyph Elementary School.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What you need to know for the classroom contest:

*Collect and turn in boxtops to your classroom until jan. 31 *check expiration dates (must not expire before March '17) *group all like boxtops together (bonus, regular etc) in baggies of 50 or LESS.

*mark each baggie with the amount and teacher name (important for class credit)

******ask your classroom teacher if you can volunteer to help organize the classroom submission to be turned in at the end of the day January 31

Have a great break collecting boxtops 😃

GOOD LUCK to every class!

School coordinator
